CUE is a creative production nonprofit working at the intersection of these three disciplines. The organization believes music has the power to open hearts and bridge divides, and builds a platform where critical voices and stories are amplified globally through music, turning empathy into understanding and understanding into action.
Across formats, CUE brings this to life through audiovisual series that carry local stories from street corners to sacred spaces to indigenous communities onto a global stage, documentaries that center music as a force for good, and initiatives in global music education and social or environmental impact.
CUE's current work spans this vision across genres and geographies: The Scene Sessions has already reached over 1.2 million people with its Barcelona edition, and is now in development in New York, Puerto Rico, and Switzerland, alongside sister formats — The Street Sessions, The Worship Sessions, and The Indigenous Sessions — that extend the same model to busking, spiritual, and indigenous music communities worldwide.
On the documentary side, CUE is working with award-winning filmmakers on stories that showcase the power of music, for example the short film in development First Live (a Ukrainian musician performing amid war), and Jail Time Records (a Tribeca-winning feature on the first non-profit music label started inside a Cameroonian prison). CUE has a number of music and education projects in development that drive significant environmental and social impact.

CUE amplifies musicians from around the world, tells stories that need to be heard, and embeds impact in everything it produces.
Founder and Executive Director Tamar Guttmann describes music as connective tissue: a reminder that people can add beauty to the world without causing harm, and a gateway to real connection, empathy, and understanding. CUE positions itself as a microphone for the positive sparks music creates around the world, whether in a street performance, a house of worship, or an indigenous community carrying centuries of musical wisdom forward.
Over the next five years, CUE aims to bring its flagship series to every continent, build a bigger team capable of running multiple productions at once, and form global partnerships that let it support several seasons of its work simultaneously. The goal is for artists everywhere to see CUE as a place that turns curiosity about using their platform for good into real action.
THE
SCENE SESSIONS
The Scene Sessions is CUE's flagship platform, celebrating vibrant local music scenes through high-quality music video storytelling. Each episode is filmed on a custom-designed set that reflects the local scene's cultural identity, and features band introductions, three live song recordings, and artist interviews.
The series gives special focus to emerging and underrepresented talent, showcasing them alongside internationally recognized names to open new career opportunities. In each episode, artists bring an object that represents their scene to them, using it to unpack the community and culture behind the music.
Beyond paying every participating artist, CUE transfers full ownership of the recordings back to the musicians, letting them use the material freely for their own benefit.
The first edition, The Scene Sessions: Barcelona, launched with 15 bands and 75 musicians, reached over 1.2 million people worldwide within a month, gained 15,000 social followers in that same period, and secured national broadcast visibility through Catalan public broadcaster 3Cat.
It also drew coverage from major Spanish outlets. New editions are now in development for New York, Puerto Rico, and Switzerland, with partners including Creative Capital, Opus1 Foundation, Omelas, and OurFrame already confirmed.
CREATING IMPACT
CUE Collective is scaling a model that pays artists fairly, hands them ownership of their own work, and turns music into a bridge between communities that might otherwise see little in common.
